Since we found the wood floors and pulled up the carpet in the dining room last year, Amy’s been after me to get the rest of the carpet up so we can look into getting the floors refinished.
Finally, today we got it taken care of:
A busy week with a busy pack – today was a trip to Baltimore to become Pirates and raid the Inner Harbor. It was a target rich environment, including the very unexpected (and FAR from home) HMAS Ballrat. A good time was had by all, and plentiful booty was secured.

Last weekend we went on our second camping trip with Alexander’s Cub Scout pack. We had a little bit of rain on Friday night (after we had everything mostly set up, so everyone stayed dry). Saturday we had pancakes for breakfast and then set off to hike the battlefield, followed up by a delicious dinner of beef and potatoes cooked in Dutch Ovens over the fire.

For July 4th, we went to Garfield Park in SE, just up the street from Tony’s place. Meat, fire, smoking, explosives and sports – what better way to celebrate the holiday?

Trip to PA for Father’s Day:
The trauma of returning to the DC area and tuning to 99.1 WFHS and hearing Mexican music, not the alternative rock goodness that I expected to hear was just wearing off.
And now, this. AC/DC and Led Zep replaced by Kelly Clarkson and John Mayer? Someone shoot me now (no, not really).
It makes me glad that iPhone+Pandora works like a champ in the truck.
Thanks to everyone that could make it out!
